Client :

Cheung Kong ( Holdings ) Ltd

Location :

No. 4 Kennedy Road, Hong Kong

A residential project with 85,000m2 GFA and 772 units perched on the hillside of Tai Mo Shan. It comprised of 16 blocks of medium rise residential buildings with varying heights of 10-11 storeys.

The development was built on a difficult terrain with dense vegetation. To map the exact topography required mass clearing of vegetation and the development necessitated felling and transplanting of numerous trees.

The site was made up of two portions separated by a deep valley in between and a bridging deck was constructed to link the two portions together.

Given the suburban location and flanked by Country Parks around, the development was designed to a resort ambience with plenty of trees and instead of a big, glamorous clubhouse, recreation facilities were scattered around the site. The result was a pleasant, laid back feel sympathetic to the development’s natural environment.
